Ive only been to Chicago during the summer, and i loved it. I heard during the winter in chicago, it can be very extreme. Especially since im from Los Angeles, ive never seen snow in my life. Im only 19 years old, lived in California my whole life, and i just wanna spread my wings and fly away from California, im really tired of the california scence, ive never liked the beach, ive always been a lake person, and i **** the hot weather. Will it be a huge change for me?

Im also thinking about going to school for either Culinary Arts or Music. Does Chicago have any good Music or Culinary Art schools? Where are safe places to live in Chicago? How much is it to live in Chicago?

I have family that live in Aurora, and Joliet, both those cities are about an hour away from Chicago, but my family said theres not much over in their cities. I need help please!?!

vacation spots near chicago?

We want to drive somewhere near by - maybe roughly 6 or 7 hours away at the max? Between the both of us we were looking to spend about 1000 dollars not including gas money.
